NMTCs and other tax credits can be combined with the OZ incentive. This requires the utmost care and a more complicated organizational structure, but it can be done. The good news is that many of the final OZ regulations were modeled after the NMTC regulations. So, for example, there is significant overlap in qualifying both a QOZB as a OLICB.

It's possible, you just have double the compliance obligation. Consult with a law firm that has a department covering both.
